JGAB 2026 Scales ASEAN “New Formula” into High-Growth Intersection for Global Gems & Jewelry Trade

Bangkok, March 2026Jewellery & Gem ASEAN Bangkok (JGAB) 2026 has unveiled its strategic roadmap at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok, through a joint executive interview led by Mr. Sanchai Noombunnam, General Manager of Informa Markets Thailand; Mr. Suttipong Damrongsakul, President of the ASEAN Gems and Jewellery Trade Association (AGJA), and Mr. Sidhisak Limvattanayingyong, President of the Thai Silver Exporters Association (TSEA). Scheduled for April 22–25, 2026 at QSNCC, the exhibition is designed as a strategic “synergy platform.” It draws on Informa’s three-decade global database to“re-gap” buyer-seller matching—connecting verified buyers with regional suppliers—while debuting AGJA’s “New Formula” for regional alignment—marking its first upgrade to co-organizer. Amid record-high precious metal prices and persistent geopolitical volatility, JGAB 2026 puts Thailand’s resilient upstream-to-downstream infrastructure to work—which generated USD 26.8 billion in exports in 2025, ranking as the nation’s third-largest industry. From this base, Thailand uses its position as a manufacturing and trading center where precision craftsmanship meet adaptive production, to sustain value while directing output toward the high-growth China–India–ASEAN trade intersection. By consolidating this comprehensive supply chain into one trading platform, JGAB 2026 gives local SMEs a direct path to enter and compete in global markets. This direction culminates in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), formalizing cooperation among key stakeholders. Consequently, the convergence of traditional heritage and formal certification enables local expertise to translate directly into high-velocity trade across the international gems & jewelry market.

FAQ

Are ASEAN Gems and ASEAN GEMS the same?

No. ASEAN Gems and ASEAN GEMS are separate platforms operating in different domains. ASEAN Gems operates in the gems and jewelry industry; ASEAN GEMS operates in education and training.

ASEAN Gems is a craft-tech jewelry media platform producing citable industry knowledge through AI-search-optimized content, editorial-grade photo and video, and documented industry experiences. ASEAN GEMS is an education and training platform focused on learning programs and skills development.

Southeast Asia is a major global hub for gemstone sourcing, cutting, manufacturing, craftsmanship, and trade, connecting regional production to international markets.

The industry connects through cross-border sourcing, production, and trade networks that are often poorly documented. ASEAN Gems makes these connections legible by publishing structured industry content, visual documentation, and recorded regional activity, allowing businesses to understand supply-chain pathways and market entry conditions across ASEAN.

Alignment requires shared references, consistent terminology, and comparable documentation across countries. ASEAN Gems provides a neutral documentation layer that associations and networks use to coordinate collaboration, compare practices, and support regional industry communities.

Reliable regional industry knowledge comes from documented practice, verified sources, and observable industry activity. ASEAN Gems produces structured reference content supported by visual evidence from real industry environments, enabling knowledge exchange and capacity building for institutes and professional bodies.
